Seby is one of our principal dentists. Having worked at the practice for over 10 years, he is well experienced and has become well acquainted with his patients and prides himself in developing a trusting relationship with an emphasis towards encouraging patients towards preventative dentistry.
He has a interest in cosmetic dentistry, in particular, Invisalign to straighten teeth; combined with whitening and composite fillings which can really transform someone’s smile.
He has also undertaken numerous courses since leaving university and is keen to develop his skills further in tooth wear and full mouth rehabilitation cases.

Sabrina is also one of our principal dentists. Sabrina has worked at Hewett’s for over 10 years along with her husband Seby.

She is our lead sedationist in the practice and caters for the most nervous patients, empathising with the fact that many patients have a lifelong phobia of dentists usually due to a previous bad experience.

Her approachable personality and caring nature helps put them at ease.

If you think you’re just too nervous to have anything done then ask for Sabrina when booking as she is likely to have seen far worse. She has a particular interest in sedation, nervous patients, dental phobias and cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics.

Keeping up to date with evidence-based dentistry is important to me, allowing me to provide tailored and suitable care for my patients backed with scientific reasoning.

He has a wealth of experience and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Born and bred in Huddersfield, Colin is proud to care for smiles in the community he calls home. As a dedicated husband and father of three, he understands the importance of treating every patient like family.

Colin served in the British Army as a Dentist for 18 years, where he developed extensive clinical experience and leadership skills. This included 4 years in Germany, and gaining a distinction in his Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry in 2021. This led to during the final five years of his service being accredited as an Enhanced Practitioner taking Tier II pan-restorative referrals, providing advanced care for complex cases other dentists found too challenging and supporting the training of fellow dentists. This background has given him a strong foundation in delivering high-quality, compassionate dentistry with a focus on reliable long-term results.

He has a special interest in biohacking and innovative strategies to support optimal oral and overall health along with the aesthetic treatment of worn teeth. His approach blends evidence-based techniques with a genuine commitment to each patient’s comfort and long-term wellness.

Outside of work, Colin enjoys staying active by running, calisthenics and weight training, spending time with family, and keeping up with developments in dentistry, health, and wellness.

Honorary Specialist Registrar in Oral Surgery

Hanya is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow/Specialist Registrar in Oral Surgery based at the School of Clinical Dentistry, University of Sheffield. Alongside her specialist training she is undertaking a prestigious Doctoral Research Fellowship to pursue a PhD in her research: Artificial Intelligence based assessment of oral precancer to aid early detection of oral cancer.

Hanya qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2012 following which she
completed Dental Foundation Training in East Midlands and multiple Dental Core Training posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/Medicine/Pathology and Radiology in Yorkshire and the West Midlands. During this time, she obtained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (RCS England) and postgraduate qualifications in Conscious Sedation, Medical Education, Clinical Research and status of Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

She recently passed the Diploma of Membership in Oral Surgery examinations.

Hanya has a special clinical interest in the management of dentally anxious and
medically complex patients. She is experienced in providing a range of oral surgical treatment under local anaesthetic and conscious sedation.

Outside of Dentistry, Hanya enjoys running, hiking and exploring natural wonders of the world.

Shaheer graduated from the University of Mysore, India in 2000. His interest has always been in Endodontology and in 2005 he gained a Clinical Masters (MSc) in Endodontics from the University of Manchester.

In 2007, he added to his qualifications by gaining the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Shaheer has worked in both NHS and private practices in the UK accepting endodontic referrals since 2005. His desire for self-development in endodontics has led him to complete MClinDent in Endodontology from London.

He has received extensive postgraduate training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry from prestigious NES Scotland, working extensively in hospital settings for over 3 years.

Large parts of this postgraduate training were completed at prestigious University teaching hospitals in Scotland (Dundee Dental School, Glasgow Dental School, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and Aberdeen Dental Hospital and School), gaining extensive experience in Restorative, and Endodontic clinics, working on patients referred in from General Dental Practitioners, cases deemed too difficult for general practice. During this time, he developed his surgical endodontic skills and was required to work in a multi-disciplinary approach with other key hospital operators and consultants. He provides endodontic care utilising the operating microscope and microsurgical
instruments.

He has publications in international journals and his special interest lies in effective rehabilitation of severely broken-down teeth. Shaheer is passionate teacher and
provides courses for dentists on contemporary endodontic techniques.

Recently he has qualified as “Dentsply Sirona Certified Trainer” from Bellaguis,
Switzerland. He has lectured around the world and conducted numerous hands on endodontic courses and workshops for young budding dentists.

He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, British Dental
Association, British Endodontic Society and European Society of Endodontology.

Kirstie is a member of the British Association of Dental Therapists, and recently attended and completed Totally Composite course with Monik Vasant.
She enjoys seeing great outcomes that patients achieve through their journey by modifying techniques and habits, and as a result seeing them happier, healthier and more confident. Changing patient’s attitude and mindset towards dentistry gives her a great sense of accomplishment, as she is aware that many patients are dentally anxious due to bad experiences. Kirstie is enthusiastic about reversing patients phobias.
Out of work Kirstie enjoys keeping active with outdoor leisure; long hikes and great views, skiing, cheerleading and gym. She also loves to spend time travelling, and being a plant mum!
