Seby is one of our principal dentists. Having worked at the practice for over 10 years, he is well experienced and has become well acquainted with his patients and prides himself in developing a trusting relationship with an emphasis towards encouraging patients towards preventative dentistry.
He has a interest in cosmetic dentistry, in particular, six month smiles to straighten teeth; combined with whitening and composite fillings which can really transform someone smile.
He has also undertaken numerous courses since leaving university and is keen to develop his skills further in tooth wear and full mouth rehabilitation cases.

It is a pleasure to introduce Craig, our lead Implantologist at Hewett’s. Craig has been involved in surgical dentistry for over 25 years. For the last 8 years his focus has been enhancing patient journey through the development of a digital workflow. Digital technology is used to plan communicate and deliver optimal aesthetic and functional outcomes for patients.
He has been actively involved in the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) at the Royal College of Surgeons where he was on the board of examiners for over 10 years and he was elected to the national board where he served for 3 years.
He has trained and worked with some of the most respected surgeons in the world. He is a member, accredited mentor and speaker with the International Team for Implantology (ITI). Craig is Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology (UK) where he has been on the national board for over 7 years. He regularly lectures to various study groups and diploma and MSc programmes in the UK and occasionally at national and international dental congresses.

Sabrina is also one of our principal dentists. A mum of 3, she has recently returned from maternity leave having worked at the practice for the last 6 years which followed previous work for a dentist in Huddersfield.
She is our lead sedationist in the practice and caters for the most nervous patients, empathising with the fact that many patients have a lifelong phobia of dentists usually due to a previous bad experience. Her approachable personality and caring nature helps put them at ease.
If you think you’re just too nervous to have anything done then ask for Sabrina when booking as she is likely to have seen far worse. She has a particular interest in sedation, nervous patients, dental phobias and cosmetic dentistry.

Thamer joined us from a practice in Huddersfield, and quickly established himself as a valuable member of the team. Thamer is passionate about providing excellent dentistry in a relaxed and comfortable setting, and is an extremely popular dentist with many of our nervous patients.

Ehsan is a professional and caring Dentist, with a keen eye for aesthetics and strong interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. Ehsan qualified as a Dentist from the Peninsula Dental School in 2016. He also holds a Masters in Pharmacy from the University of Bradford, having worked as a Pharmacist before qualifying as a Dentist.
Being committed to perfecting his craft, Ehsan regularly attends dental courses to increase his knowledge and skills. He is currently completing the prestigious year course on “Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry” by Dr Christopher Orr.
Ehsan enjoys providing a variety of dental treatments, with an interest in cosmetic treatments such as Invisalign, smile makeovers, composite bonding, crowns, veneers, bridges, dentures… the list goes on!

Sorin has qualified from Newcastle University and after working in the North East for several years has decided to move to the gorgeous Yorkshire and is now joining us from a busy NHS practice in Bradford. Sorin is an attentive listener and prides himself in his ability to deliver the highest quality treatment in a calm and relaxing environment. He will take the time to discuss with you your concerns and together you will both come up with a comprehensive treatment plan. Sorin has a friendly demeanor, and aims to ensure you are comfortable and at ease throughout your treatment journey.
Sorin has a strong passion for aesthetic dentistry, striving to create a natural and healthy smile for all his patients. He feels greatly rewarded from helping patients to overcome their dental anxieties and also achieving the smile they deserve. Modern Dentistry is rapidly developing and Sorin believes it is essential to remain at the forefront of the profession in order to treat his patients as best as possible. As such, he has enrolled in postgraduate courses in both advanced dentistry and facial aesthetics from world renowned experts.
He is also keen to use his skills to help others who may not have access to dental care. Sorin has travelled to South America to provide treatment for orphanages and deprived areas and hopes to continue to volunteer throughout his time as a Dentist.
Outside of Dentistry he enjoys an active lifestyle, travelling and visiting his family in Moldova.

Ricky graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2015 where he was an active committee member of the Dental Students’ society (SUDSS) by organising dental and social events.
Ricky is a very caring and enthusiastic person who likes to take time with his patients to build rapport and to understand their main concerns. He always aims to deliver the highest quality of care to each and every one of his patients by using up-to-date minimally invasive techniques to ensure that they are happy with their smile.
Ricky has recently completed a year long course in Restorative Dentistry and has a keen interest in providing cosmetic treatments such as short term orthodontics (Invisalign) and aesthetic tooth-coloured fillings.
Outside of work Ricky likes to keep fit by going to the gym regularly and playing football, and loves spending time with his family and friends. He has also recently started flying lessons for which he is working towards his private pilots license.

Shaheer graduated from the University of Mysore, India in 2000. His interest has always been in Endodontology and in 2005 he gained a Clinical Masters (MSc) in Endodontics from the University of Manchester.
In 2007, he added to his qualifications by gaining the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Shaheer has worked in both NHS and private practices in the UK accepting endodontic referrals since 2005. His desire for self-development in endodontics has led him to complete MClinDent in Endodontology from London.
He has received extensive postgraduate training in restorative and cosmetic dentistry from prestigious NES Scotland, working extensively in hospital settings for over 3 years. Large parts of this postgraduate training were completed at prestigious University teaching hospitals in Scotland (Dundee Dental School, Glasgow Dental School, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and Aberdeen Dental Hospital and School), gaining extensive experience in Restorative, and Endodontic clinics, working on patients referred in from General Dental Practitioners, cases deemed too difficult for general practice. During this time, he developed his surgical endodontic skills and was required to work in a multi-disciplinary approach with other key hospital operators and consultants. He provides endodontic care utilising the operating microscope and microsurgical instruments.
He has publications in international journals and his special interest lies in effective rehabilitation of severely broken-down teeth. Shaheer is passionate teacher and provides courses for dentists on contemporary endodontic techniques. Recently he has qualified as “Dentsply Sirona Certified Trainer” from Bellaguis, Switzerland. He has lectured around the world and conducted numerous hands on endodontic courses and workshops for young budding dentists.

Essam qualified from Dental School in 2004 and has subsequently achieved a master’s from Birmingham University. He has also spent some time working in Hull University Teaching Hospitals as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, where he gained the MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has a wealth of experience and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Essam always strives to build rapport with his patients, taking time to understand their concerns and expectations and then explain treatments and discuss all options available. His calm, relaxing manner helps to quickly put patients at ease. He lives locally in Leeds with his wife and 2 young daughters.

Liz is our dental hygienist/therapist and has been at the practice for 3 years. Since qualifying, she has gained experience working with nervous patients, especially children.
This has strengthened her skills, allowing her to create a relaxed environment and reducing, if not eliminating, their fears of visiting the dentist.
Liz enjoys sharing her knowledge to help patients improve and maintain their oral hygiene.

Tracy joined the team in 2017. Tracy has 26 years’ experience in the dental setting, starting as a dental nurse, and working her way up to practice manager. She is passionate about leading the team to deliver a fantastic patient experience.

Olivia is our patient care coordinator. As patient care coordinator, Olivia is available to answer any questions about treatment, and help patients better understand their options. She enjoys welcoming new patients, and supporting current patients through their journey here at the practice. She believes in making patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and her door is always open if patients fancy a cup of tea and a chat.

Emily is a qualified dental nurse, who joined the practice in 2015. She very quickly established herself as a big part of the Hewett’s family, and is a familiar, smiley face to everyone. Emily assists in a variety of our different surgeries, and is often there to greet our patients from the reception desk.

Kelly joined us in 2010 and qualified in 2011. Kelly is our dental and oral hygiene nurse, ensuring we comply with the Department of Health and Care Quality Commission regulations. Kelly also provides internal training for the dental nurses.
Eileen is a long-standing member of the practice, joining the team in 2002. She enjoys welcoming our patients to the practice. Eileen is passionate about good customer service, and is always willing to answer any queries, or help in any way she can.

Jessica joined the practice in 2012, and gained her dental nursing qualification in 2013. She is a great member of the team, and always ensures we are all smiling. Jessica is a familiar face for our patients attending for regular hygiene appointments, as she often works alongside our hygiene therapist.
