Extractions
From £189 (Per unit)
Extractions are often the most daunting part of any dental visit. As always prevention is better and we work hard at the practice to ensure all preventative measures are promoted to avoid losing a tooth in the first place.
Preventative measures include – reducing the frequency of snacking – awareness of high sugar foods (even hidden sugars) – prescribing high fluoride toothpastes if needed – ensuring good hygiene and interdental care eg flossing – visiting the dentist regularly and regular x rays to diagnose decay early
If an extraction is needed then the dentist will usually take an x ray to determine its difficulty. Many extractions can be easy with very few complications. We have invested in specialist equipment to help make this as predictable as possible. For those more complex extractions we have our onsite specialist oral surgeon Dr Hanya and Dr Naveed who are able to use their advanced skills to ensure the least discomfort. Sedation by Dr Sabrina is also available at the practice for those that need that extra help in relaxing throughout the process. The dentist will ensure they have assessed and discussed all of this prior to the extraction and also provide aftercare.
