Dr Hanya mainly works as a NIHR Doctoral Research Fellow & Honorary Specialist Registrar in Oral Surgery at Sheffield hospital but also has monthly clinical sessions for our patients here at Hewett’s Dental.

Extracting teeth that a general dentist can’t get out must be gruesome and painful right? Well that depends on your experience and skill level. Dr Hanya and Dr Naveed make it look so easy. Patients often say they can’t believe it’s over already. For those that are still nervous we offer sedation on site so that you feel totally relaxed and often don’t remember the procedure itself.

We have many advanced materials on site including PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) which is taken from your own blood sample. It’s collected by being spun around in a centrifuge and can be painlessly placed where the tooth was removed to avoid gum shrinkage and bone loss (especially to preserve this for implants).
